Alternative Energy Power - Is It Our Future? By Don Marshall
A report issued by the current administration stated that U.S. citizens could harness 300 gigawatts of wind by 2030, for less than two pennies per day! Alternative energy power sources, such as wind are becoming more popular around the world. 20,000 megawatts of wind energy were utilized last year alone. That is enough power to serve over six million average homes. But alas, most of the advancements are being made overseas, because our government has been cutting back funding for research of alternative energy power. This situation should rectify itself, as people begin discover the truth about the viability of alternative energy power sources. Some alternative energy power visionaries claim that wind power will become more popular than nuclear power in the near future. Solar and wind power may even eventually be used together since they can share common power lines. If the current administration's own report is anywhere near accurate, carbon dioxide emissions
could be reduced by twenty five percent in just two decades. We would also see significant reductions in natural gas and water usage, which is linked to the generation of electricity. The result of this migration to alternative energy power could create as many as half a million jobs. Now that's an exciting possibility! All of this means we could have a power grid functioning almost entirely on renewable energy resources, which would put an end to greenhouse gas emissions and radioactive waste. It would also lower our energy costs and free us from dependence on foreign oil. There is just one hitch. For all of this to come to pass, we need to elect strong, innovative, open minded leaders. We, as a collective people need to make our voices heard. We should be encouraged by these recent reports. But we also need to make a commitment to ourselves do everything in our power to see that the implementation of alternative energy power becomes a reality. Learn how to utilize Alternative Energy Power In Your Own Home And Make A Real Difference.
